Marie Salazar Garcia

Marie Salazar Garcia is currently the Business Development Representative for SAMES, Inc. Her primary focus is both in the real estate and economic development industries. She is also an Sales Director with Mary Kay, where she enjoys inspiring beauty and enriching lives. Marie recently became a certified coach with the Maxwell Leadership Team and Mentorship Program. Marie attributes her deep desire towards serving others to her relationship with God. She is constantly involved in her community and draws her energy from helping and celebrating others. Marie is currently participating in the 2023 cohort of Leadership Texas. Marie is also involved with many organizations & non-profits that support women initiatives, education and programs that give back to her community. She also serves on several boards which are making an impact in the RGV. Her passion for service got her recognized at the state level and was recently awarded with several prestigious awards which includes “Exemplary Service To The Community” award with a Texas Flag flown over the State Capital from The Senate of The State of Texas & The Texas House of Representatives and was also commissioned a “Yellow Rose of Texas” which is an award given to women with exceptional community service such as: volunteerism, charitable contributions, achievements related to the preservation of the history of Texas, or achievements toward improving the present and building the future. The Hispanic Women Network of Texas also awarded Marie the Estrella De Tejas Award for the RGV in 2021, and recently named her the Chapter Chair of the Year for 2022 for leading the HWNT RGV Chapter for almost 4 years and creating the Lady In Red Scholarship Gala, which awards scholarships to next generation of leaders. Marie’s daily inspiration comes from being an example of passion and compassion, to her very supportive husband, 3 adult children, 5 grandchildren, while celebrating life with all those whom are dear to her.
