The Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas (HWNT) RGV Chapter is hosting its 3rd Annual "Lady in Red Scholarship Gala" on April 27, 2023. This event was created to empower and support the next generation of Latina leaders in the Rio Grande Valley by raising funds for the Latinas in Progress (LIP) Scholarship program.
The gala is a fun and unique way for women to give back to their community. Each Lady in Red "Madrina" will be recognized and wear their favorite red gown, participating in a passion show. By becoming a Madrina, attendees can make a positive difference in the lives of young Latinas in the RGV. HWNT is a statewide non-profit organization committed to promoting the participation of women in public, corporate, and civic arenas. Their mission is to advance the educational, cultural, social, legal, and economic well-being of all women through a broader awareness of their role in society, business, and family.
The event is open to the public, and seating is limited. Tickets are available for $50 per person, and those interested in attending can purchase them online at Eventbrite.com. Reserved tables and group ticket information are also available by calling HWNT RGV at (956) 524-2014. Donations can be made by check payable to HWNT-RGV LIP Program,
Overall, the Lady in Red Scholarship Gala is a fantastic opportunity for women to support the next generation of Latina leaders and make a positive impact in their community.
